Welcome to Port Stanley United Church, where we have space for your event in our completely air-conditioned and fully accessible building. We also have a small parking lot along with on-street parking.
The church hall is available for family gatherings, community service clubs and non-profits seeking meeting space. The space is suitable for wedding and baby showers, birthday or anniversary parties, fitness and dance classes, etc. Occupancy size is limited to 125 people.
The hall is in the church basement with large windows and elevator access. An accessible bathroom is also available.
Rental Length
Minimum rental is 3 hours. The space is not available on Sundays.
Kitchen Facilities
The hall kitchen is available for warming food and making coffee or tea (cooking not permitted). All supplies, dishes and cutlery must be supplied by persons renting the space. However, there is access to a refrigerator, stove and large coffee urns. Use of the kitchen can be arranged at the time of booking for an additional fee.
Kitchen Rules posted in the kitchen are to be strictly followed. All renters are required to provide their own coffee, tea, sugar, milk and cream and cold drinks for events.
Hall Set Up and Take Down
There is a nominal fee to have the hall set up for your event.
Decorations
Decorations may only be attached by painters tape or sticky putty. All decorations must be removed prior to leaving the hall. Only light-weight decorations may be hung from ceiling or light fixtures.

Deposit and Insurance
A deposit to reserve the date and time is required. Proof of third party liability insurance is required at least one week prior to your event. If you will be serving alcohol at your event your proof of insurance will need to indicate that alcohol service is covered. Renters are expected to leave the hall and kitchen in a clean state following their event. A $200. damage deposit is required – it will be returned promptly following an inspection after the event.
Smoking or Vaping
Our church is considered a community recreational facility that offers recreational programs to the local community. In accordance with the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 smoking or vaping is not permitted inside, on the outdoor grounds or within 20 metres of the property.
Payment Schedule
Full payment is required at least two weeks before your event. We are happy to reserve your event, but it cannot be confirmed until payment is made.
Other
Hall rental does not grant access to the rest of the building. Renters are not permitted access to the rest of the building including the Sanctuary without specific agreement.
